Following the enactment of Decree personal income tax, a passport will become more expensive (€ 73.50, plus the cost of the booklet of 42.50 euro), but ... no longer have to affix the stamp from 40 29 euro every 12 months. 's stamp (from 2007 "electronic label"), valid for 365 days, it is a "tradition" exquisitely Italian and it often happens that the competent foreign authorities, unaware of this peculiarity, it does not control the presence on the passport.
A considerable simplification for travelers , who from now on will no longer have to worry about renewing the mark every 12 months and will shed a considerable nuisance. Sure, there was a rise in the tax to be paid at the time of issue of the passport. But the Minister Tonini , Vice-President of the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee and head of the Democratic Party, stated that: simply increase the amount to offset the revenue losses resulting from the annual fees no longer due.
